MUNICIPALITY SUPPORTS DISABLED YOUNG PEOPLE

President of Palilula Municipality Boban Dzunic had a meeting after the personal demand Jasmina Barac Perovic president of Nis Association of students with disabilities. On this occasion the information about the coming activities of the Municipality that have for their objective the improvement of the position with handicap as well in present practice of support to this category of people in Palilula. The association of students with handicap was founded in Nis eleven years ago thanks to great persistence of Jasmina Barac. Today it is the organization that gathers more than 50 students. Thanks to this Association many students with handicap got great support during studying.

Jasmina Barac emphasized that even now there are still great problems that should be solved in town when young people with handicap are in focus. She also pointed at personal assistance, transport, unemployment, removing of architectonic, psychological and other barriers, reduction of discrimination and rising of sport activities of people with invalidity in Nis to the higher level.
According to the words of president Dzunic, Palilula Municipality realizes the successful cooperation with many organizations and associations that represent interests of the people with special needs and invalidity. Transport is organized, approaching ramp to Municipal building, high standards in communications of Municipal workers with all the citizens, specially with handicap. With existing practice of support will continue in further period, emphasized president Dzunic.
